ANTIQUE BROWN ROPE LETTERING BELT

This belt is a special one. I developed the rope font when I was on a solo holiday by the beach in Winter, with no internet and just a sketch pad and pencils and the sound of loud rolling waves. The rope particularly suits western themes, lyrics and phrases.
The leather is shaped and sized before the lettering is mapped out, hand drawn, awled, carved, painted, dyed and beeswaxed.

As it is a custom made belt, I'll work with you on the phrase and which icons you wish to include. I'd suggest something with a maximum of about 24/25 letters, but will depend on word length. My favourite icons to carve are native flowers, musical instruments, and vintage cars.

As this belt is very labour intensive, please allow up to 8 weeks from ordering.
