CUSTOM BUCKLE + DYED & PAINTED ROPE LETTERING BELT

This is the rockstar of my belts I reckon. Dyed, carved and painted rope lettering, plus a custom buckle.
The leather is shaped and sized before the lettering is mapped out, hand drawn, awled, carved, painted, dyed and beeswaxed. I’ll carve icons that align with the words, like I’ve done with the cowboy hat and boots on the belt pictured.
To really complete it, this belt comes with a handmade carved leather belt buckle inlaid in brass, with an image or your initials- up to you!

I developed the rope font when I was on a solo holiday by the beach in Winter, with no internet and just a sketch pad and pencils and many many hours listening to the sound of loud rolling waves. The rope particularly suits western themes, lyrics and phrases.

As it is a custom made belt, I'll work with you on the phrase and which icons you wish to include. I'd suggest something with a maximum of about 24/25 letters, but will depend on word length. My favourite icons to carve are native flowers, musical instruments, and vintage cars.

This belt is labour intensive, please allow 2-4 weeks from ordering.
